We hope you all have a wonderful day yesterday, whoever you spent it with. We hope you received some flowers, chocolate or even a hug...hugs are so important an precious these days!
Our 'Jars of Love' made their way out to lots of doorsteps around town, many just from a friend to a friend. This year, it seems that Valentines was a day to send and share love to friends and Mothers as well as partners and lovers
So why are red roses associated with love and Valentine's Day?
There are many thoughts and theories behind it, we favour the the Greek & Roman mythology...It links back to the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite or Venus as the Romans named her. According to the legend her tears and her lover (Adonis') blood watered the ground where the red roses grew!
Have a wonderful week love Emma & team Wild Alice x
